    *** So much happened in a year! ***
The biggest thrill was being honored with the RWA "Nora
Roberts   LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD"!
When the Board of Directors called, I think I was dancing off
the ceiling for weeks. The RWA website has a wealth of
specific information, but for a quick summary:
"One of the highest honors RWA bestows is the RWA Nora
Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is
presented to a living author in recognition of significant
contributions to the romance genre."

For years I've wanted to write more romantic suspense, and just couldn't find
a way to fit it in. Finally did it! I loved every minute of creating these stories---
hope you'll enjoy reading them.

The national RWA writer’s conference took place at the Wardman Marriot in D.C., from July 15
through July 18th. 2009.
The highlight of every national conference is the Award Ceremony on Saturday night, where we all
dress up & glitz up to support the best books in our genre. We laugh, we cry—and we dream—as
each Golden Heart and Rita winner is announced. The end of the evening is when the Lifetime
Achievement Award is given out.
I’m still humbled to think I could have been chosen for this. My thank you speech started with these
